Surrealism for Realism
Salvador Dali' has an exhibit up at the LACMA until January 6th, 2008. Time is upon us and before we know it it will be gone. The works of the renowned artist cover not only paintings from his collection but also examining cinema through his influential style and elements. This will be another one to add to your cultural pallet. If I stand corrected, Fridays, at LACMA are Jazz nights. So go sip on some wine, eat some cheese, listen to music and admire some art. Tip for the fellas: this is what a good date is ;)
I am Thankful for...

AMOUR
This describes it in a nutshell. My gratitude all spawns from the love of and for my family, friends, self, beauty, wisdom, memories, and positivity. I have been very fortunate over the last couple years to gain an understanding and appreciation of life's lessons. Without the support from those in my life I would be truly lost. Without loss there would be no gain and these words are the very premise for my existence as I know it to be now. Live, Laugh, Learn, and Love but more importantly be Thankful. Warm wishes to you and yours.

Yes, This post is long over due but what can I say we are a breed of busy buzzing bees. As it turns out the best time during the week long Paper Project would be the opening party at Club Monmartre hosted by Jeremy Scott & Collette with a Thriller themed dance party. And we all know how I love danceparties. A choreographer taught us the moves from Michael Jackson's Thriller video, we were even taken through a fun cardio warm up. Lots participated as it felt like Halloween all over again, ghouls & the most live dead people in LA while others handsomely observed and wished they had the, you know what, to get out there and shake it. Au revior Collette, Paper, Jeremy Scott, and beautiful LA people. Til the next time, keep it tight and keep it right!

PAPER PROJECT
Mickey, Paper's Deputy Editorial Director and the ladies
Jeremy Scott, Matthew Stone, Gareth Pugh, Andrew, and Elliott
Alright listen up kiddies..paper project is coming to town from november 5 through the 11th. If you have attended any of their events, you know that it is as fun as a barrel of monkey's. If you haven't I will grace you with some info. Paper magazine has been hosting a week long event that takes place all over LA. The first year they set up shop on Robertson at a storefront and had lots of events planned from twister aerobics to dance party. Last year they hit up the hot areas from house party in Venice Beach, to an art block party in Chinatown where, to an after party in Echo Park at the Rec Center (FUUUNN!) to Silverlake at Rudy's Barbershop, then the last few days of the week they set up at the venue on Western and Hollywood and had a whirl of activities scheduled. From live photo shoots, to runway shows, to design competitions, and even a live performance by Kelly ('shoes, omg, shoes!'). Heartschallenger followed and gave out treats. All in all a hell of a time that should not be missed! Trust me. It is rumored that there will be dance lessons hosted somewhere, more heartschallenger, more friends to make or make out with ;) and enough good times to talk about through the new year!

JEREMY SCOTT
Fashion week, fashion week, fashion week. What can I say? Finding ourselves in the hustle and bustle at smashbox studios we sipped a few cocktails, mingled with some lovelies and admired Jeremy Scott's new collection. It was very street, literally. Lots of dresses, tops, leggings, hoodies and bathing suits (love 'em!!) with patterns consisting of tire & skid marks, colorful street signs meshed together, shoe marks (personal fave), hand marks, etc. The wide belt made from a tire was kitchy and the hats, my goodness the hats. All the models strutted their stuff down the runway with these over sized beret like hats that were patterned like trash can lids. Overall a fun collection, go figure it's Jeremy Scott!!! My apologies for the unclear pics..but twas the best i could do.
